About
RhayThem is a hypercasual rhythm shoot em up game, for Windows, made in Unity.
The name is based on the word "Rhythm".
Made in August 2023 for Game Programming assignment. (Semester 3)
This is my 2nd Unity game.
The challenge in this project was to make a rhythm game, so I learned that if I could scale an object to the beat of the music, then that could be used as a trigger to activate events. This makes the music able to control when the player and enemies are able to move and shoot.
At the time, I did not know that too much motion blur was very bad, sorry
How to Play
-
The player can choose to aim and Dash or Shoot to the beat of the music
-
Dashing is not only for movement but also for attack, by ramming into enemies
-
Enemies can spawn with different types of attacks
-
Kill an enemy can have a chance to drop their type of attack as ammo for the player
-
They can also drop points
-
There are destroyable obstacles around, one of them is dangerous and can explode with projectiles if hit by anything
-
The enemies are endless, so this is a survival highscore game
